Inure Chair

Salvaged American Walnut, Imitation Leather, American Oak

The Inure Chair was my first completed furniture project. Undertaken as part of Furniture Design 1 (IDN2810), Marinos Drakopoulos helped inform the design and making process. The chair's form takes inspiration from Mid century Scandinavian designer, Hans Wegner and his Wishbone and Elbow chairs. The Cantilevered, lower-back rest intends to provide a visually light form that does not dominate a space, rather adds an elegant modesty.
